On October 5, 2023, Retaaza was honored with the title of Best Social Impact Startup by Startup Atlanta. This accolade was part of Startup Atlanta's Atlanta Startup Awards, held in the historic West End at Monday Night Garage at Lee + White.

Startup Atlanta, a community non-profit committed to nurturing and expanding the local startup landscape, also revealed its 2023 Lifetime Achievement Honorees and other Awards Finalists during the gala evening. The event recognized exceptional individuals and companies whose contributions have significantly impacted Atlanta's startup ecosystem.

Lifetime Achievement Honorees were Jay Bailey, President and CEO of the Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs, Bill Connors, President of Xfinity for Comcast Cable and Visionary of Comcast NBCUniversal The Farm, and David Cummings, Founder and CEO of Atlanta Ventures and Founder of Atlanta Tech Village. These luminaries were presented with Startup Atlanta’s highest honor in acknowledgment of their remarkable achievements and contributions to the Atlanta community.

Evan Jarecki, Co-Founder of Gimme and Board Chair at Startup Atlanta, expressed the organization's deep appreciation: “Startup Atlanta is honored to recognize Jay Bailey, Bill Connors, and David Cummings. Their unique successes and contributions highlight Atlanta’s collaborative approach to its local startup ecosystem, drawing on the support of entrepreneurs, investors, ecosystem builders, and corporations.”

The event, themed “ATL Onward,” celebrated the resilience and growth of the Atlanta startup community following the challenges posed by the pandemic and economic uncertainties. Retaaza's win as the Best Social Impact Startup stands as a testament to its dedication to making a positive difference and creating meaningful social change in the vibrant city of Atlanta.
