Shade Echols

Shade first joined Retaaza as a summer 2026 intern, where she helped set up markets, managed orders, conducted community surveys, and helped evaluate public perception of MARTA Markets. She especially enjoyed engaging directly with customers, supporting community members, and gaining hands-on experience in outreach and assistance. She returns to the team as a Market Associate!

Born in Minnesota, Shade is a student at Booker T. Washington High School and is also enrolled at Atlanta Technical College. She is passionate about creative arts, music, and psychology.

Shade is always positive, makes friends easily, adapts well to new environments, and is an extremely quick learner. Her best skills include adaptability, teamwork, leadership, self-awareness, and connecting with people.

Outside of work, Shade enjoys skateboarding, drawing, and writing.
