We are building robust relationships with local farmers, community organizations, local businesses, and individuals to create a nimble, streamlined approach that is making a measurable impact economically, socially, and environmentally across our communities.

 

This is a hybrid position. Day to day work can be done remotely but there are events that require in-person attendance and coverage. Our HQ is in Atlanta at Atlanta Tech Village. Our Community Access Manager will oversee Retaaza Rx programming, executing all community markets and community access initiatives. Retaaza Rx is our D2C - Direct to Community - programming. Retaaza Rx (Rx) forges connections between farmers and community members. Our solutions assist hungry neighbors by creating a pipeline of fresh, healthy foods straight from the farm and into the hands of food-insecure individuals and families. This position is a key member of the team and will work cross-functionally to ensure Retaaza’s mission and impact are communicated effectively.

Role Responsibilities Include:

●     Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple community markets throughout the week – including pop-up and mobile markets

●     Manage (and hire as needed) market associates, create work schedules, and lead trainings

●     Recruit, train, and manage market volunteers

●     Track overall Retaaza Rx P&L,individual market P&Ls, and impact metrics

●     Collaborate with value chain  manager on orders and receiving for the markets

●     Fulfill various market reporting requirements (ex. SNAP, GF4L, sales tax, etc)

●     Manage communication with various stakeholders to ensure delivery of partnership agreements

●     Operate as the manager of and point contact for all Rx partners

●     Manage Retaaza’s relationship with donation partners

●     Create and execute market marketing efforts (email, market sites, social media, etc.)

●     Perform ad-hoc analysis and create proposals to support large-scale, future Retaaza projects

●     Assist with grants received for Retaaza Rx work and subsequent reporting requirements

●     Represent Retaaza while interacting with cross-functional stakeholders inside and outside of the organization

 

Role Requirements:

●     A minimum of 3+ years of relationship management and/or business management experience

●     Strong written and verbal communicator

●     Ability to manage multiple projects at once

●     Constantly thinking about how to  streamline process

●     Creative, out of the box problem solver - able to just figure things out

●     Can work under tight deadlines

●     Comfort with hands on management to accomplish tasks (ex. operating markets and being a backup if a scheduled market associate calls out sick)

●     Access to a car you have permission to drive, when needed

●     Clean driving record, valid driver’s license, and vehicle insurance

Preferred Skills & Compensation:

●     Previous experience in a startup or nonprofit environment

●     Previous experience with, or knowledge of, the local food movement, food justice movement, agriculture industry, and/or community organizations particularly involved in food

●     Broad knowledge and understanding of community-based services around sustainability, food security, and food waste

●     Previous experience with, or knowledge of, farmers markets and/or retail environments

Pay Scale:

$50,000-$65,000 - negotiable and commensurate with location and experience
