This is a hybrid position. Day-to-day work can be done remotely but there are meetings and events that require in-person attendance and coverage. Our HQ is in Atlanta at Atlanta Tech Village, and we have an office and warehouse on the Westside. Our Business Development & Customer Success Coordinator role is perfect for someone passionate about local food, building relationships, and delivering exceptional service to customers while driving the company’s growth. They will learn strategies and approaches from senior sales leaders but should also come with their own ideas, passion, and skills for success. This position is a key member of the team and will work cross-functionally to ensure Retaaza’s mission and impact are communicated effectively.

Role Responsibilities

Business Development
  • Research and identify potential customers, including restaurants, retailers, food service providers, and companies who value locally-sourced food.
  • Evaluate and prioritize leads to ensure alignment with business goals, passing high-potential opportunities to senior sales leaders.
  • Conduct outbound sales efforts (cold calls, emails, and in-person meetings) to establish new partnerships and close deals.
  • Set up meetings, prepare materials, and assist senior sales leaders in advancing qualified leads through the sales funnel.
  • Travel to attend sales and community meetings to develop relationships and meet new potential clients.
  • Build strong relationships with prospects by understanding their needs, presenting solutions, and showcasing the value of our local food offerings.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop strategies for entering new markets and growing the customer base.
  • Track sales metrics, report on performance, and suggest areas for improvement.
Customer Success
  • Guide new customers through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of our products and services.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering long-term relationships and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and proactively identify opportunities to improve their experience.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce customers to new products and services that meet their needs.
  • Gather customer feedback to inform product offerings and operational improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

●      1-3 years in business development,sales, customer success, or a related role; experience in the food industry is a plus.

●      A genuine passion for connecting with people and building lasting relationships.

●      Ability to manage multiple accounts, tasks, and priorities effectively.

●      Comfortable using CRM tools, email marketing platforms, and other sales or customer success technologies.

●      Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

●      Familiarity with sustainable food practices, local farming, and food distribution is highly desirable.

●      Access to a vehicle and a valid driver’s license
